What you get from one configuration

Qframe turns the main decisions about an industrial building into a 3D structural model you can change at any time.

Parameters

Spans, frame spacing, eaves and ridge heights, roof shape, socle and panel settings. Each one is a field in the side panel, grouped the way an engineer would think about the building.

Qframe's Building geometry parameters: spans 2*18000 16000 15000, frames 1*5000 15*8000 1*5000 and the column placement on the first and last frames, with tabs for roof shape, substructure, envelope and gates

Live 3D model

Every change is solved by the structural engine and redrawn in 3D: columns, trusses, bracing, wall and roof panels, with grid axes and levels as on a drawing.

The default warehouse in the Qframe demo's 3D view: wall and roof panels, roof trusses and bracing, with grid axes A to R and 1 to 5

Gates

Add gates to the walls and see them in the model.

Four gates cut into the walls of the warehouse in Qframe's 3D view, with the Gates tab open showing each gate's wall, position, width and height

Quantities and bill of materials

After solving, Qframe prepares the quantities and a bill of materials from the same model you see in 3D.

Qframe's quantities table: columns, roof beams and truss chords with their profile, count, total length and weight

Saved projects

In the full version, projects are saved to your account, so you can come back any time and reconfigure. Saving is not part of the demo.

The engine behind it

Qframe is not a drawing tool with a 3D viewer on top. Behind every model is a parametric structural engine that applies engineering rules to the parameters you set and returns the frame, a simplified first sizing of its members and the quantities.

One main frame: 4 spans (18 + 18 + 16 + 15 m), monopitch, alternated roof, eaves +10.000, high side +13.000, ground ±0.000. Columns on every axis carry one roof truss per span.

The default warehouse as the engine returns it: one main frame, spans 18 + 18 + 16 + 15 m, eaves +10.000 and high side +13.000.

What Qframe covers today

Qframe covers steel-frame warehouses and industrial halls: columns, roof trusses, bracing, wall and roof panels and gates. It gives a first sizing for early decisions, not a final design. An engineer still checks and develops the structure.

Questions and answers

What do I get from Qframe?

A 3D structural model of the building, a simplified first sizing of the members, and quantities with a bill of materials, all from the same model.

How accurate is it?

It is built for early decisions. The sizing is a first, simplified one, and the quantities follow from it. A design for construction needs an engineer's full design and checks.

Which buildings does it cover?

Steel-frame warehouses and industrial halls, with columns, roof trusses, bracing, wall and roof panels and gates. Tell us which types or materials we should look at next.

What does the demo include?

A starting building where you can change the spans, the frame count and the roof shape, and see the 3D model and quantities. Saving projects, comparing options and export are not part of the demo.
